Origo Reinsurance Brokers Limited (Origo Re) is an independent reinsurance intermediary established and registered in Zambia in September 2019. The Company’s services include reinsurance broking (facultative and treaty), reinsurance advisory, reinsurance accounting, risk management, actuarial consultancy and reinsurance training.

Thelma Chigwende has in excess of 17 years’ insurance experience, with most of it in reinsurance broking.

She previously worked for Zimnat Lion Insurance Company and RM Insurance Company (Old Mutual), both in Zimbabwe and in the immediate past, a reinsurance broking firm in Zambia.

She has a B. Comm (Honors) degree in Insurance and Risk Management (National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe), Diploma in Financial Management (ACCA) and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance through the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII - UK).

Thelma is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner (UK).

She is currently pursuing an MBA through Heriott Watt University (Edinburgh Business School) UK.
